ComplyWithMe Landlord is a compliance-management tool for private residential landlords in England. It helps you record your properties, tenancies, certificates and checks; computes the deadlines the law attaches to them; reminds you before those deadlines; and keeps your records organised so you can evidence what you have done — including assembling an organised evidence pack for a Section 8 possession claim, which can be handed to BundleCreator, our separate court-bundle product.
ComplyWithMe does not, and cannot, give you legal advice. It does not tell you whether you will succeed in any claim or dispute, what arguments to make, or how the law applies to your specific circumstances. The information in the app and on this website is general information about landlord obligations in England. Using ComplyWithMe does not create a solicitor–client or any other professional relationship. For advice on your own situation, consult a solicitor regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority or another qualified adviser.
Your Compliance Score is a status indicator to help you prioritise. It is not insurance or cover of any kind: it does not pay any fine, penalty or claim, and a green score is not a warranty that you are compliant. We do not and cannot guarantee that following the app's prompts will make you compliant, that any notice you serve will be valid, that any possession claim will succeed, or that any court, council, tribunal or deposit scheme will accept your records or reach any particular decision.
ComplyWithMe is an interactive administrative and record-keeping platform; it is not a law firm.
The compliance content in ComplyWithMe is prepared against the law of England as in force at the date shown on each figure, and every statutory value we publish is checked against primary sources (legislation.gov.uk and GOV.UK) with an ongoing re-verification process. But housing law is changing quickly — including the phased implementation of the Renters' Rights Act 2025 — and content may contain errors or become out of date between reviews. Check anything you intend to rely on against the official source, and take professional advice where the matter is important. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Steleo Publishing Ltd does not accept liability for loss arising from reliance on this content. Nothing in this disclaimer excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
The free Landlord Exposure Check states positions at today's figures, based only on the answers you give and using statutory maxima ("up to" figures). It is an illustration of potential exposure, not an assessment of your actual liability, which is always discretionary and fact-specific. It covers England only. Your answers are processed entirely in your browser and are not sent to us.
Our liability to you is limited as set out in our Terms of Use. This disclaimer should be read together with those Terms, our Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy and Data Principles.
