You don't have to close your ComplyWithMe account to remove data. You can delete individual records, or clear everything you've recorded, and keep your sign-in. To delete the account itself, see Delete your account & data.
Open the record — a tenancy, certificate, deposit, Right to Rent check, rent-ledger entry, incident or document — and use its delete action. It is removed from your device and, if you use cloud backup, from your backup at once. Deletion is permanent.
Open the property and choose Mark as sold or no longer let. The property and its records are archived: kept for your paper trail, but no longer counted in your score, deadlines or reminders. You can restore it later from Archived properties. To remove a property and everything recorded against it permanently — for a mistake or a duplicate — choose Delete property on the same screen.
Open Settings → Data → Delete all my data and confirm. Every property and record on the device is removed and your cloud backup is cleared. Your sign-in stays, so you can start again with an empty portfolio.
If you'd rather we do it, or you can't reach the record in the app, email us and say what to delete:
We'll verify it's you, then action the request without undue delay and within one month, in line with UK GDPR.
Records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons (for example proof of a payment) are retained only for as long as the law requires and are then deleted — see our Privacy Policy. Nothing else is kept once you delete it.
